Attendance will be taken each day for both In-Person and Remote Instruction to ensure that students are actively engaged. During remote instruction, students are expected to participate and fully engage as communicated by the teacher to receive attendance credit.
The approved daily engagement methods are the following: (1) Daily progress in Google Classroom; or (2) Daily progress via teacher-student interactions; or (3) Completion/Turn-in of assignments from student to teacher (via district email or Remind).
Per Texas Education Code (TEC) §25.092, students must attend 90% of the days a course is offered (with some exceptions) in order to be awarded credit for the course and/or to be promoted to the next grade. This requirement remains in force during the 2020 – 2021 school year.
Grading guidelines for Remote Instruction will follow the same Eagle Pass ISD grading guidelines utilized for students enrolled in In-Person instruction.
All students are expected to follow state and local testing requirements, whether participating in Remote Instruction or In-Person Instruction.
